Oil Leak From Cam Sensor Bolt Hole in 2GR-FKS Engine

Condition: Some 2GR-FKS engine-equipped Tacoma, Sienna, Highlander, and 2018 Camry models from the 2016 to 2018 model years may leak engine oil from the cam sensor bolt hole (s). To remedy this situation, adhere to the Repair Procedure listed below. 

1. Verify the existence of the condition. 

Are there any oil leaks from the cam sensor bolt holes in the car? 

IF SO, move on to step 2. 

No, this article is not relevant.

2. Take away the damaged cam housing. 

3. Put the NEW cam housing in place. 

NOTE: On the NEW cam housing, use NEW bolts to replace ALL of the cam sensor bolts.
