P0097, P00F4, P0102, and/or P2199 Set: Traction Control Malfunctioning, Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Ill) Illuminated

Condition:

MIL is illuminated

Cruise management is inoperativeYou could notice one or a lot of the subsequent DTCs set:

P0097: Intake Air worker (IAT) detector two Circuit Low Voltage within the Engine Management Module (ECM).

P00F4: Intake Air wetness detector Circuit Low Voltage in the ECM.

P0102: Mass Air Flow (MAF) detector Circuit Low Frequency in the ECM.

P2199: Intake Air worker (IAT) detector 1-2 Not Plausible in the ECM. You may conjointly find fuse #43 open.

Cause:

This condition is also caused by a brief circuit close to the fuel composition sensor electrical connector.


Correction:

Validate and examine the engine wiring harness at the fuel composition detector (Flexible Fuel Sensor), follow the repair below to chop the wire, and cap it off.


Service Procedure:

1. Raise the vehicle.2. With an acceptable light, examine the wiring harness. placed on the driver’s aspect frame rail close to the electronic brake management module.



3. Remove the cord connection factor from the body and pull returned the casing for the cord. Cut the cord an inch from the returned pin and cap the cord off with a Sealed Splice Crimp Matrix.






4. Using Woven Polyester Electrical Tape (PET), tape off and reseal the capped wires.

5. Reattach the cord to the body.
